Day 33 Showcase Flower Room

Showcase Flower Room

The plants have entered Week 5 of flowering (days 28-35). The uniqueness of every strain in the room is becoming apparent and there is a lot of variety in there. It’s striking to see some strains barely grow in the flowering stage while others will grow 2-3 times their original size. The speed of flower development is also very noticeable at this time. Some strains will be done around 56-63 days while others will take 77-84 days. The trichomes and aromas are more prominent this week as well.

Temperature, CO2 and light strength are at their peak. Humidity will slowly be lowered as the flowers continue to grow. Lights were raised over several strains to keep the proper intensity. Irrigation is being adjusted daily as some strains require more water than others.

Fan leaves were removed mostly from under the canopy but some larger fan leaves were removed in the canopy as well. Removing leaves is becoming a sticky job as the trichomes are noticeable in pruning now.

F0A Flower Room

This room is in the process of being cleaned and sterilized to reload with plants. The plants and organic matter have been removed and swept clean. The next steps are scrubbing, mopping, and wiping down everything and every surface.

We had to borrow a driver from this room to replace a malfunctioning driver in the Showcase Room. This left us a light down but since there are no plants in the room it happened at the best time possible for us. The manufacturer has been contacted and a replacement ballast will be here shortly. With luck all the timing will line up and we will have a clean, fully lit room with plants in it sometime next week.

Healthy transplants ready to reload F0A Flower Room

Mom and Veg Room

The moms did not get pruned this week and now they are too big!  This will be remedied in the next few days. They do look nice and healthy which is great.

The plants for F0A have responded well to the transplant and have started growing in their new pots. Every plant was pruned by being “topped” which is removing the top most growing tip of the plant. They are all on irrigation and the light is slowly being increased to prepare them for flower. Every strain in the room will be brand new to Small Batch and there is some exciting stuff in there. Stay tuned to future posts where the strains will be revealed.

Thanks for taking the time to read this week's blog. Let us know what you think of the blog and if there is anything else you would like to know don’t hesitate to reach out. We hope you enjoy Small Batch as much as we do.
